We started Zambezi Pipes to make world-standard plastic pipe here at home, at a fair price, and to build the skills to keep doing it.
Our story
Zambezi Pipes was incorporated in March 2019 by a team of entrepreneurs who have spent more than twenty years in uPVC, mPVC and HDPE pipe manufacturing. We set out to offer a complete, professional service to the piping sector, from the first enquiry to delivery on site.
Our factory in Makeni, Lusaka, makes plastic pipe under the Zambezi name. Its fully equipped laboratory makes sure every pipe meets ZABS, SANS 966 Parts 1 and 2, SANS 4427 or the international specification it’s ordered to, under an ISO 9001:2015 quality system.

How we got here
2019
Zambezi Pipes incorporated in March. Factory set up in Makeni, Lusaka.
2020
Licensed in March to apply the ZABS certification mark to our PVC and HDPE pipe.
Today
uPVC, mPVC, HDPE, sewer and casing pipe from 16 to 500 mm, with a branch in Kitwe for the Copperbelt.
